Almost a decade old video from an award function has surfaced the internet and the buzz town talking again. The video is dated sometime around 2015 when the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan received the ‘Best Actor’ Award for his character in ‘Piku.’

The video captured the moment when Rekha, seated few chairs away from the Bachchans’ rushed towards Jaya and exchanged warm hugs. Jaya Bachchan seemed to be caught a little off-guard when Rekha affectionately embraced her.
Rekha is known to have an elegant saree collection. Draped in six-yards of grace, Rekha effortlessly carried the stunning golden silk saree with hues of green. She paired it with heavy jewellery and bold lips, a very classic Rekha style. On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan wore a stunning rose pink silk saree exuding elegance with hair updo.

While Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan have shared the screen for famous works like ‘Mr Natwarlal’, ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, etc, one movie that had been the talk of the town was ‘Silsila (1981)’. Reportedly the film, featuring Rekha, Jaya and Amitabh, was not a blockbuster at the box office but was rumoured to be based on the off screen relationships of the actors.
