After wrapping up their shoot schedules in Rajasthan and Mumbai, Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor have taken Dhadak shoots to Kolkata where they have been currently shooting for the movie. The young stars were recently spotted shooting at the Victoria Memorial in Kolkata and Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions have shared the pics on Instagram. Needless to say, the pics have gone viral within minutes of them being posted. The post read, “The Dhadak team etches a few memories at the Victoria Memorial in Kolkata!” While Janhvi is looking beautiful in a printed salwar-kameez, Ishaan looks handsome in a simple pair of pants and shirt. Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak, which happens to be the Hindi remake of the popular Marathi film, Sairat, the film is slated to release in July. It’s rather surprising to see fresh photos of Ishaan and Janhvi surface on the internet after the makers had reportedly banned mobile phones on the sets of the film to keep Janhvi and Ishaan’s looks a surprise. It seems the decision was taken by Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan after a footage from their Jaipur schedule was leaked on Instagram. During an interview with Midday, the filmmaker was quoted as saying, “It’s unfortunate that people leak footage. We can only do so much to protect our product, but with outdoor schedules, it is difficult for us. Everyone around has a camera phone. Kis kis ko roke? It would be nice if people were more supportive.” Meanwhile, take a look at the pictures shared by Dharma Productions : Also Read - Madhur Bhandarkar, Who is Deeply Upset, Reacts to Karan Johar’s Apology: This is Not I Believe Real Relationships Work
Janhvi had taken a few weeks off after her mother, Sridevi’s untimely death in February. She resumed work in March after which pics of her uncanny resemblance with her mother from English Vinglish started doing the rounds on the internet. Dhadak will be Janhvi’s much awaited Bollywood debut. Dhadak, like Sairat, is based on the issue of caste and honour killings. However, Khaitan told PTO during an interview that although the basic premise of the film is similar to that of the Marathi film, there are variations. This, however, won’t be Ishaan’s first film. He starred in Beyond the Clouds, that is slated to release on April 20.
