Los Angeles, Apr 19: Actor Joe Manganiello was reportedly hospitalised late last week following dangerous appendicitis and a serious surgery. The 39-year-old “True Blood” alum entered the hospital for an appendix removal, but when doctors began to perform the surgery, they found out things were worse than they thought, reported TMZ.

A source said that the 39-year-old actor’s appendix might have burst, prompting doctors to do the emergency surgery. It was later said that he was doing well, but he remained at the hospital. (ALSO READ: Aretha Franklin won’t retire)

This isn’t the only health issue Joe has been dealing with. He ripped a bicep on the set of “Magic Mike” and had a surgery as a result. Just before his hospitalisation, he was forced to drop out of History Channel’s upcoming TV series called “Six”. The role that he was supposed to play is now being recast.
