The dinosaur epic saga Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has become the 35th film in the world to reach the billion-dollar club.

The movie which is a sequel to Jurassic World cost 170 million dollars to make without the marketing costs.

The US market contributed with USD 304.8 million and the overseas market contributed with USD 700.7 million as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie starred Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard who was also seen as the leads in the first Jurassic World film. Daniella Pineda, Rafe Spall, Isabella Sermon, James Cromwell and Geraldine were the other actors to star in the film.

The movie is a followup from the first film that shows dinosaurs on the island of Isla Nublar.

Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom joins Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther who also made a billion dollars on the box office this year.
