The Kaala audio launch event is about to begin and celebrities from the Tamil film industry and team Kaala have already started arriving at the venue. The Rajinikanth, Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi starrer, directed by Pa Ranjith, is one of the most awaited films and it is all set to hit screens on June 7. The audio was release online today morning and the audio launch event is taking place at the YMCA grounds, Chennai tonight. Santhosh Narayanan, who has composed the music for the action thriller, is excited about the launch as he will be performing live at the Kaala audio launch after 10 years. In a tweet, he said, “After almost a 10 year break, I am back into the ‘live’ performance mode. Cannot ask for more . #Kaala live performance with over 50 musicians in ymca tonight. Rajinikanth, who was in the USA for his medical treatment the past few weeks, returned to India a few days ago, in time to attend the Kaala audio launch. A sea of fans has already started swelling at the venue and looking at the crowd, onlookers say that it feels like a big political conference is happening and not a film event. Rajinikanth’s Kaala is a story based on a Mumbai-based Gangster. While there were rumours that it is inspired by Haji Mastan’s life and times, director Pa Ranjith cleared the air and said that it is a fictitious story and character. The film was initially slated for an April 27 release date but had to be pushed due to the TFPC strike.
