This is the first film that we’re getting to see Rajinikanth collaborate with Nana Patekar. The trailer gives us a glimpse of what the film is all about. Kaala is about a slum lord from Tamil Nadu who ran away to Mumbai as a child and grew up to be a powerful leader in Dharavi. He is the kind of leader who fights to protect. So how did you find the trailer? Apart from Rajiniknath, the film stars Nana Patekar, Sayaji Shinde, Huma Qureshi, Pankaj Tripathi among others. The audio launch of the film was held in Chennai on May 9 in a grand manner. The music is scored by Santhosh Narayanan. This movie marks Rajinikanth’s second collaboration with Pa Ranjith who last directed Kabali. It was one of the biggest hits of 2016.
