Fans are waiting to see husband-wife duo, Kajol and Ajay Devgn, reunite on screen. And as if to make their dream come true the much-in-love couple is expected to unite on screen after seven years in filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar’s next directorial venture, which is yet to be titled. It is expected to be a slice-of-life film. The couple was last seen in Ajay’s directorial debut, “Toonpur Ka Superhero” in 2010.
Previously, the movie was scheduled to be directed by ad filmmaker, Raj Sarthi. However, Sarkar who is known for his films like Parineeti, Lafangey Parindey and Laga Chunari Mein Daag, to name a few, has taken over as the director of the movie that had been shelved for quite sometime. Ajay Devgn confirmed the news with Deccan Chronicle. He was quoted by the leading daily as saying, “Things didn’t work out with Raj Sarthi and now Pradeep Sarkar will be directing that film with me and Kajol in it.” The real life couple has been featured in several movies before like Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), Ishq (1997), Gundaraj (1995), Raju Chacha (2000), U, Me Aur Hum (2008), Dil Kya Kare (1999) and many more.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay will be seen in Milan Luthria’s upcoming film, ‘Baadshaho’ , an action drama based on India’s Emergency period. He will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming action-comedy film, Golmaal Again, along with Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Tabu, Prakash Raj, Shreyas Talpade and Neil Nitin Mukesh. On the other hand, Kajol’s Tamil film, VIP 2, starring Dhanush as the protagonist is released on August 11 and has been garnering mixed reviews.
