Kajol reacts to Ajay Devgn-KRK controversy! Will Karan Johar ever cast her again?

Why would a blockbuster filmmaker like Karan Johar need KRK, of all the people? Now, this is something that both Ajay Devgn and Kajol need to understand.

Petite but fiery actress Kajol, legendary in Bollywood with her films with Karan Johar and actor Shah Rukh Khan, among other movies, will now be in a fix whether to work with Karan ever again! Rumours of a rift between the B’town buddies have been on for a couple of years, but the latest episode involving Ajay Devgn, Kamaal R Khan and allegedly Karan Johar will likely put a lid on to their friendship forever (we hope not). So then, will Karan Johar ever cast her again? Here’s what happened.

Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn who is married to Kajol, posted a link to an audio tape last evening alleging that self-proclaimed film critic and actor Kamaal R Khan (KRK) confessed to producer Kumar Mangat Pathak that Karan Johar has paid KRK Rs 25 lakh to write good things about his upcoming movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil while trashing the Devgn production Shivaay. Both movies release on the same day – October 28, 2016. The box office war is already on, two months ahead!

KRK on his part clarified that it was Ajay Devgn who paid him to trash Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He also held a press conference this evening.

“Hear what self proclaimed no. 1 critic and trade analyst Kamaal R Khan has to say,” said Ajay Devgn on Twitter. Kajol reacted to the Ajay Devgn-KRK controversy by simply retweeting her husband’s tweet and saying, “Shocked”. Clever! But this is a clear indication that no matter what, the wife will support the husband in the Bolllywood battle. Friendship be damned!

Take a look at Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s tweets:

The KRK tapes reveal a conversation between Kumar Mangat and him about Karan Johar bribing KRK for writing good things about his ambitious film starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas. But that seems a little difficult to digest, no? Zoom Editor Simi Chandoke alleged that this entire episode is a game plan of Ajay Devgn, KRK and Kumar Mangat themselves to create a buzz about Shivaay vis-a-vis Ae Dil Hai Muskhil.

When the teaser of Ae Dil Hai Muskhil released the other day, Ajay Devgn tweeted an image of his saying, “Relaxed”. Really, Ajay? Are you relaxed about the competition? It doesn’t seem so after last night’s expose. But then to be sure, Ajay has demanded an investigation into the authenticity of the tapes and KRK’s claim that Karan Johar bribed him.

Ajay today issued a statement that read: “I have been a part of the Indian film industry for the past 25 years and have been associated with over 100 films. My father was a professional action director and I have an emotional connection with this industry. It therefore pains me to see that people like Kamaal R Khan are holding the film industry to ransom by spreading negativity about films to extort money from producers. It is very sad that people from our own industry are supporting such elements and spoiling the ethos of the film industry. I would strongly demand that this be thoroughly investigated by competent authorities to clarify if Karan Johar was indeed involved in this.”

But the question here is: Why would a blockbuster filmmaker like Karan Johar need KRK, of all the people? Now, this is something that both Ajay Devgn and Kajol need to understand. Or why would Ajay Devgn need KRK? After all, if the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil teaser has garnered record views on YouTube, the trailer of Shivaay has also received rave reviews. So, why are Ajay Devgn and Kajol so scared for their film? Is it because Karan Johar refused to budge as far as the release date is concerned or is it because Kajol was not cast?

Meanwhile, we are waiting for Karan Johar’s reaction to the entire fracas. Listen to the KRK tapes here!
