Kamal Haasan Chokes Up While Talking About Sridevi; ‘Glad That We Hugged When We Met Last Month’ (VIDEO)
Kamal Haasan expresses grief
Kamal Haasan, Sridevi’s first ever costar when she made her debut as a child artist in Tamil film Moondru Mudichu (1976), was one of the first one’s to express grief over the actress’ untimely death. In a heart felt tweet, the south superstar talked about the happy time he has spent with Sridevi, seeing her transform into a great actress and how the lullaby in Sadma (1983), a film he starred in with her, haunts him now that Sri is no more.
Now, the actor has paid a condolence to the actress and the entire Kapoor family, especially her husband Boney Kapoor and kids Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor and it will tear you up. The actor choke up while talking about Sri and her journey and how it was not mere luck but her sheer hardwork that got her where she was.
“When she came into the industry, she wasn’t as good as she later became. It was only through her hard work. Sridevi learnt every day, said Haasan, further talking about the day he met her last month. “I saw her last month and we are not prone to showing emotions. Even then, we hugged each other and I am grateful for that hug,” he said choking up.
Kamal also said how Sridevi was a wonderful person and lead a happy life surrounded by people who she loved and who loved her back. “My deepest condolence to the family, Boney and the children. Hold on, hang in there, Boney. I am sorry,” the actor signed off. Read his tweet and watch his emotional condolence message below:

Thea actress passed away on Saturday night after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was in Dubai with husband Boney Kapoor, daughter Khushi, taking a break after actor Mohit Marwah’s wedding in UAE. Apart from Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and many others have expressed their shock over Sri’s death and extended condolences to the family during this testing time. The actress’ body is being brought to Mumbai from Dubai and is expected to reach the city by 1 pm, post which the last rites will take place.
