Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Care fund in order to help the nation amid the coronavirus scare which has infected more than 2,000 people across India and has caused 56 deaths in the country so far. The Bollywood queen has made a donation of Rs 25 lakh and her sister revealed the same on micro-blogging site Twitter. Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel took to Twitter to inform about her contribution. Not only Kangana, her mother Asha Ranaut has given up her one month’s pension.
“My mother gave her one month pension, we don’t know how long lock down will last we need to survive with what we have but we can make few adjustments for the nation,thanks @narendramodi Ji for giving us a chance to contribute #PMCARES @PMOIndia,” Rangoli tweeted.
Several actors from the Indian film industry such as Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Rajinikanth, among others have also pledged to donate money to the PM’s Care Fund amid the coronavirus scare.
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen in Ashwini Tiwari Iyer’s Panga, will be next seen in Thalaivi, which is a biopic on the life of J. Jayalalithaa, late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
