Recently, Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra surprised her fans when she announced that she has welcomed her second child, Samisha, along with husband Raj Kundra through surrogacy. She revealed how she had been trying for a girl in the past 5 years, hence, she opted for surrogacy and had thought of a girl’s name when she was 21 years old. Soon after Shilpa’s announcement, Kangana Ranaut‘s sister and spokesperson Rangoli Chandel also informed her followers and she is also all set to welcome a baby girl. Rangoli took to Twitter and announced that they have decided to adopt a baby girl who will join their family in a few months. Rangoli in her tweet wrote, “I have a baby I want another one my husband and I decided to adopt, I want to encourage couples to adopt than to go for surrogates, to each his own but let’s try and give homes to those also who are already in this world and longing for parents. My sister has inspired us to do this, Ajay and I have done all the formalities hopefully in few months our baby girl will be with us, Kangana as named her Ganga so fortunate to be able to give home to a child”. Rangoli in her tweets has praised the Miss Universe for adopting two daughters. She tweeted, “I salute Sushmita sen, a mother is a mother to every child not just strictly my gene carrying chromosomes type of mother, media need to encourage parents who go beyond their petty chromosomes type emotions and reach out to a longing little soul.”
The duo was blessed with son Viaan in 2012 and welcomed Samisha on February 15 this year. In an interview with Pune Mirror, Shilpa shared, “We had been trying for a second child for five years. I had signed Nikamma and had committed my dates to Hungama when I got the news that in February, we were going to be parents again. We cleared our work schedules for the whole month.”
On the professional front, Shilpa is gearing up for her comeback flick Nikamma which hits theatres on June 5 and Hungama 2. The upcoming Sabbir Khan-directorial, Nikamma, will mark her comeback after a 13-year sabbatical. Touted to be a rom-com, the movie will also star Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia.
