They say he first pretended to be loving, but soon started pressuring her for a physical relationship before marriage. When she refused, he allegedly turned abusive, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The legal action against Mayank Gowda

After the family’s complaint, the local police registered a case of abetment to suicide under relevant sections, booking Mayank Gowda and his mother. The case was first filed at Hassan City Police Station but later transferred to the jurisdiction of Puttenahalli Police in Bengaluru, where the investigation is ongoing.

Achala’s parents and other relatives are demanding swift arrest and thorough action based on the evidence they claim to have provided. So far, the accused remain at large, a point that has drawn criticism and concern from the family and public alike.
