Kannada Film Producer Soundarya Jagadish Found Dead, Police Registers Case of ‘Unnatural Death’

Soundarya Jagadish was one of the known producers in the Kannada film industry. He was found dead at his house in Bengaluru on Sunday. The police have begun the investigation.

Bengaluru: Producer Soundarya Jagadish was found dead at his residence in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 14. He was predominantly known for his work in the Kannada film industry. While it is not yet clear who discovered him dead at his house first, he was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The Bengaluru police have begun the investigation after registering a case of ‘unnatural death’. As mentioned in a report published by India Today, the police will also probe the case from a ‘suicide angle’.

On Monday, Kannada actor Darshan visited the producer’s home to pay his final respects. Producer and director Tharun Sudhir also offered his condolences to Jagadish’s family on social media. His post on X read, “Shocked and saddened to hear of Soundarya Jagadish sir’s sudden passing. His presence in the Kannada film industry will be deeply missed. Sending heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones (sic).

Earlier this year, a case was registered against the Jet Lag pub in Bengaluru which was owned by Soundarya Jagadish. Police action was taken against the pub after it was found that a party hosted by Jagadish ran beyond permissible hours. Actors Darshan, Dhananjay, Rockline Venkatesh and others from the Kannada film industry were reportedly the guests at the party.

Jagadish had produced films like ‘Appu Pappu’, ‘Ramleela’, ‘Mast Maja Maadi’ and ‘Snehitaru’ among others. His demise has sent shock waves in the Kannada film industry. May his soul rest in peace!
