Karan Johar has announced his next directorial project and its star cast will blow your mind. The film titled Takht has a multi-starrer cast and the good ensemble definitely tell us that something amazing is in store for us. Earlier today, Johar took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to announce his next directorial venture with its very first poster. The next tweet also came within seconds revealing the star cast of the film.

The film stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Jhanvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Sharing the poster of the film, Johar tweeted, “#NewProfilePic” and sharing the ensemble of the film, he tweeted, “I am so excited and honoured to announce the lead cast of #TAKHT @RanveerOfficial #KareenaKapoorKhan @aliaa08 @vickykaushal09 @psbhumi #JanhviKapoor @AnilKapoor #HirooYashJohar @apoorvamehta18 @sumit_roy_  @hussainhaidry”.

According to the reports, Takht will be based on a family drama wherein Ranveer and Vicky will be playing the role of brothers and Kareena will be playing the role of Ranveer’s wife. It is also being said that Ranveer will be essaying the role of Dara Shukoh and Vicky will be playing the role of Aurangzeb.

With Takht going on the floors next year, the silver screen will for the first time see Ranveer and Kareena together. This will be the second film of Jhanvi Kapoor and for the first time, she will be seen with her uncle Anil Kapoor.

The film is slated to release in 2020 and with this announcement, Bollywood fans are left with a lot of curiosity and excitement.
