Karan Johar Confirms That Ranbir Kapoor - Alia Bhatt's Next Is Not Titled Dragon, But Will Be Announced Soon

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, after getting done with the Sanjay Dutt biopic and Raazi, will be gearing up for Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming movie which is tentatively titled as ‘Dragon’. It was earlier reported that the film’s team is looking out for other titles as well which will go as per the concept of the film, and the film’s producer, Karan Johar has just confirmed the news.

When a fan tweeted to Karan Johar “Everyone knows about it Dragon directed by ayan mukharji and produced by @karanjohar @DharmaMovies *Ing- Alia and ranbir”, he got one back from the famed director-producer. In his response, Karan Johar confirmed that his film is not titled Dragon. “It’s not called DRAGON….title will be announced soon!!!!” Could his brief response mean that the title, though not Dragon, has been decided?

Earlier in July, about the film’s title a source informed DNA, “‘Dragon’ is just a tentative title. They picked it because the main power of Ranbir’s superhero avatar has to do with fire. But now, the team is looking at other titles. If they come up with something better, they will change this title, though the film’s working title still remains ‘Dragon’.”

In fact Ayan Mukerji himself had earlier mentioned that the film’s title is tentative. He said, “I have not locked the title yet. ‘Dragon’ is just the tentative title. It was called ‘Dragon’ because in the film, the boy has connection with fire. It is his power. The guy has a mystical connection with fire. So, I called it ‘Dragon’. There’s something I like about the word.”
