Karan Patel And Ankita Bhargava Expecting Their First Child?

The couple tied the knot in 2015 and had a lavish Gujarati wedding with friends and family in attendance

Over the last two weeks, we are being bestowed with pregnancy news — first with Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput sharing a picture of their one-and-a half year old daughter, Misha Kapoor, all set to become a big sister, followed by Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik announcing they’re expecting their first child and eventually Neil Nitin Mukesh and wife Rukmini Sahay following suit. Now, seems like it’s the TV’s industry’s turn, as there’s a rumour doing the rounds that Yeh Hai Mohabattein actor Karan Patel and wife Ankita Bhargava are expecting a baby.

The couple who met due to their common friend, Ali Gony (who plays Raman’s brother on YHM) got married in 2015 in a lavish wedding in the city, according to Gujarati rituals. According to a report by Bombay Times, Karan’s wife, Ankita is in her second trimester and her due date is in November. That would indeed be exciting as Karan too celebrates his birthday on November 23. BT quoted a source as saying, “Karan and Ankita are ecstatic with this development in their life. They are, however, trying their best to keep the news under wraps because they plan to announce it at the right time.”

However, when Bollywood Life called the actor, who is currently abroad, for work, he said, “Nahi nahi baba…I am not in India…this is just rumours. We will announce it if I happen to be a father.” While we still don’t know the truth, we know one thing for sure. Karan who plays the role of a father in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein to Adi (Abhishek Verma), Ruhi (Aditi Bhatia) and Pihu (Ruhanika Dhawan) will indeed make a great dad in real life as well. Don’t you agree?
