In December last year, the Hindi film industry lost one of its finest actors, leaving everyone in state of inconsolable grief. The entire industry mourned the death of the veteran actor. Not just that he was also fondly remembered at the Oscars this year. Last Sunday was his birth anniversary. The actor would have turned 80 years old had he been alive. To celebrate the late actor’s birth anniversary, the entire Kapoor Khandan had a family reunion. There was lots of food and repartee and we’re sure they had loads of stories to share and discuss about the legendary actor. If reports are to be believed, the dinner was hosted by Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Apart from the Kapoor family, the Jain brothers and their mother, Shashi Kapoor’s son, Karan Kapoor, and his grandson were present as well. Ranbir Kapoor was missing from the family picture as he is currently in Bulgaria shooting for his upcoming sci-fi film, Brahmastra, with Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Ayan Mukerji. It’s heartwarming to see that the family is still living up to the tradition started by late actor. During an interview with Mid-Day, Kareena and Karisma Kapoor’s father, Randhir Kapoor had revealed that the legendary actor loved to host family gatherings. “My uncle (Shashi Kapoor) was a family man and always believed in celebrations. In fact, he had told us that we should not mourn his death and instead, celebrate his life. I think his kids are just doing that and are paying an ode to him. Like my father, Raj Kapoor said, ‘The show must go on,” he had said.
