As per reports, Kareena Kapoor is all set to play a ghost in her upcoming film. The actress will reportedly romance actor much younger than her. Bebo, who is currently 44-years-old, will be paired up opposite an actor who will be nearly 20-years-younger than her. A source from Deccan Chronicle shared, “This quirky story featuring Kareena as a ghost has a refreshing script and will carve out a new space in the ghost genre. It’s a fun, genre-bending take, and Kareena is perfect for it.”
The source also mentions that the film is written by Hussain Dalal, who is best known for collaborating with Ayan Mukerji in Brahmastra Part 1. While fans are quite excited, an official announcement is yet to be made.
Well, in recent times the conversation around age-gaps between Bollywood actors and actresses has become a trending topic. Recently, Ranveer Singh, who is 38 at the time, was called out on social media for romancing Sara Arjun, who was reportedly only 18 years old during the shoot of Dhurandhar. Moreover, Salman Khan who was paired with Rashmika Mandanna in Sikandar, grabbed headlines when paired with the significantly younger actress.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor who made her acting debut in 2000 with Refugee, alongside Abhishek Bachchan, has recently completed 25 years in the industry. The actress is famously known for shattering stereotypes and staying relevant over the years.
She is currently gearing up for her upcoming crime-drama thriller Daarya. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film marks her next directorial venture after Sam Bahadur (2023). Currently in pre-production, Daarya explores age-old paradox of crime, punishment and justice with terrific actors such as Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran in intense and commanding roles.
