Producer Karim Morani‘s younger daughter Shaza Morani was tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday. Now his elder daughter, Zoa Morani reveals all about her sister’s health and how Shaza had gone to Sri Lanka but she probably contracted the virus from her. In an interaction with Mid-Day, Zoa, who’s also a Bollywood actor, revealed that both she and Shaza were travelling in late February and March. She said while she had been shooting in Jaipur, her sister had gone out with friends to Sri Lanka. However, both of them self-quarantined themselves away from the family for 14 days as they returned to Mumbai.
Zoa added that she started to develop symptoms and had dry cough and fever and yet it was her sister Shaza who was tested positive without any visible symptoms. The actor said she was tested negative even after showing the major symptoms and they are still scratching their heads over it. While Zoa is admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital for further tests, Shaza is at the Nanavati Hospital for her treatment.
Zoa talked to the daily and said, “The doctors were prompt and quickly took a swab test. Shaza showed no symptoms, and yet, she tested positive. I have all the symptoms, and my first test has come negative. So, I have been put in an isolation ward along with other suspected cases.”
The actor went on to say that they are taking one day at a time and not panicking because they belong to the family of doctors and they have followed all the protocols. Zoa said she believes she was the carrier and if she, too, is tested positive for COVID-19, she would want to be around her sister Shaza in Nanavati.
