Randhir Kapoor separated from his wife, Babita in 1988 due to mutual differences. Now, his daughter Kareena Kapoor Khan has revealed that her parents have decided to spend the rest of their lives together. The couple never legally divorced. They lived separately, but mutual respect remained between them. After separating from Randhir, Babita raised her daughters Kareena and Karisma alone.
Kareena Kapoor talked about the decision of her parents in a conversation with ‘Mojo Story’. She said, ‘Everyone’s parents are the best parents in the world and my parents are also the best parents in the world. Now, they have decided to spend the rest of their lives holding hands, because this is where their journey started.’
Kareena Kapoor said that she and her sister Karishma were very happy with her decision. She called it God’s will. She says, ‘I personally think that both have been wonderful, because my father always supported me in the things that I wanted to do in life. He is very helpful.’ Kareena Kapoor admitted that her parents have a big contribution in her and her sister’s career.
Kareena said that her father, Randhir is proud of Babita. Randhir praises the way she raised her daughters and helped them fulfill their ambitions. Randhir-Babita got married in 1971. The couple worked together in films like ‘Kal Aaj Aur Kal’, but suddenly problems started in their marriage. Babita stopped doing films after marriage and decided to break the relationship in 1988. Talking about work, Kareena was last seen in the film ‘Singham Again’.
