Kartik Aaryan and Dharma Collab Artists Agency (DCAA) have reportedly ended their professional association, barely two months after joining hands. The news comes at a time when Dharma Productions is dealing with the underwhelming box office performance of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a film that failed to meet expectations despite considerable buzz.
According to industry insiders, the decision to part ways was taken by DCAA, and not the actor himself. Sources suggest that the poor performance of the film resulted in a financial setback, which played a role in this sudden move. The loss is said to be among the more significant ones faced by Dharma Productions since DCAA was launched as its talent management arm.
Is the split real or rumour: The actual truth
Rumours about Kartik Aaryan parting ways with DCAA surfaced due to recent speculation and the timing of events. While some claimed the move was purely professional, with no link to his film’s performance or recent headlines, there was no official confirmation. Meanwhile, dismissing the reports, Rajeev Masand, COO at DCAA, clarifies, “There is no truth to this story.”
Does this affect Kartik’s career momentum?
Not really. At 35, Kartik Aaryan continues to be one of the most bankable and popular actors in Hindi cinema. Even though his recent release did not perform as expected, his standing in the industry remains strong. Importantly, his professional relationship with Dharma Productions is still intact.
Kartik and Karan Johar had announced the creature comedy Naagzilla last year, and the project is moving forward as planned. The film is being co-produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and is currently in the preparation stage.
What are Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming projects?
Apart from Naagzilla, Kartik is waiting for the release of his romantic film with director Anurag Basu. The movie, which stars Sreeleela opposite him, has reportedly been delayed due to an ongoing title dispute, but work on the project has not stopped. The actor is also busy with Captain India, directed by Shimit Amin, adding another interesting title to his growing lineup.
What is DCAA known for?
Kartik joined DCAA in November last year. The agency manages several well-known names, including Jahnvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Rohit Saraf, Sonam Bajwa, Harshvardhan Rane and Lakshya Lalwani. For now, Kartik seems focused on his work rather than the noise around him.
