Kathua Rape Case: Details of kidnapping, rape and murder of 8-year-old girl shock the nation

The Kathua rape and murder case demands that we stay outraged. The case where an 8-year-old minor girl was kidnapped, sedated, brutally gang raped over days and then finally murdered, have left the nation shocked and angry. The gruesome and heartbreaking details of the incident has angered Twitter and it is flooded with angry reactions and posts seething with indignation and resentment over what happened to the little girl. Bollywood celebrities too have been in a state of shock after details of the rape and murder came to fore in the chargesheet. Anushka Sharma, Abhishek Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Richa Chadha, Farhan Akhtar, Javed Akhtar, Atul Kasbekar, Vir Das are among celebs who took to social media to express their disappointment and anger and demand justice for the little girl.

The 8-year-old had reportedly gone to graze horses nearby her house on January 10 and didn’t return home post that. She belonged to the Muslim Gujjar-Bakarwal community in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir and protests from the members of the community put the crime branch into action. The details of the kidnapping, rape and murder is indeed a humanity crisis, as rightly out by Neha Dhupia and resonated by Anushka Sharma in their tweets. Sonam Kapoor in her reaction said, “Ashamed appalled and disgusted by fake nationals and fake Hindus. I cannot believe this is happening in my country.”

In Unnao the brother of the alleged rapist is arrested for beating the father of the rape victim which caused his death . So far police has not taken any action in the rape case .The MLA is walking free and has the audacity to call the victim n her Family ” lowly people “ .

According to reports, the girl was held captive inside a ‘Devisthan’ or a temple and gang-raped. Two separate charge sheets have been foiled against the eight accused persons, including a juvenile. The incident has left everyone appalled and shaken. We just hope that the outrage doesn’t die down before justice is met to the little girl.
