Kavya and Dileep starrer Pinneyum didn't win the Kerala State Awards 2016 and the reason will shock you!

Kerala State Awards  2016 recently took place and Vidhu Vincent’s film ‘Manhole’  won the Best Film title while Shanavas K Bavakkutty won the Best Debut Director award for ‘Kismath’. Now Veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s Pinneyum was shortlisted in top 12 films by the jury! However, this much awaited film was flat out ignored by the jury. The buzz of this movie was high and since it is the movie of Adoor Gopalakrishnan, fans were positive that it was going to clinche awards at the ceremony! But it did not happen so and the audience were left wide-eyed.

As reported in Asianet, the jury was not much happy with the movie! They in fact did not find anything much special in this flick by the veteran director! Not only this, in fact they were also not amazed by the performance of the the renowned actor Dileep and Kavya! The report also informs that the jury was DISAPPOINTED by the flick by the veteran director.

Well, we do not know what the makers of Pinneyum and Dileep-Kavya have to say on this. For those who do not know. The movie that revolves around the middle class-family, was not a hit at the box office. The buzz was still alive yet because of the recently married jodi of Bhavya-Dileep.
