Kochi, July 15: Actor Dileep’s bail was rejected by the Angamaly First Class Judicial Magistrate court in the Kerala actress abduction case, extending his custody until July 25. The actor will be sent to Aluva sub jail. The court on Friday extended his police custody by one more day until Saturday 5 PM. Under custody, Dileep, who was lodged in Aluva jail, will be questioned in the abduction and molestation case of the Kerala actress. The court had rejected Dileep’s bail petition, extending his custody by a day, after the police demanded custody of the actor for further investigation.
On Friday, the prosecution had maintained that Dileep was not cooperating in the case and they needed more time to further investigate the case. The police said that even during interrogation, Dileep maintained that he did not know Pulsar Suni.
WHAT IS KERALA ACTRESS ABDUCTION CASE
A Malayalam actress was abducted and sexually assaulted in a moving vehicle for two hours by the accused on the night of February 16.
On February 23, the police arrested the main accused, ‘Pulsar’ Suni (Sunil Kumar), and his accomplice, from a local court complex in Ernakulam.
According to the reports, Suni and his accomplice were dressed as lawyers and were trying to enter the witness stand. The reports also have it that the two accused were apparently wanted to surrender rather than be arrested.
However, the police arrested the two accused from the courtroom. Two other people involved in the case were also arrested.
In the beginning of the interrogation, Pulsar Suni told the police that he had masterminded the crime, with an intention to assault the actress, clicking her pictures and later blackmailing her for money. He also told the police that there was no conspiracy involved in the crime.
A little while later, Pulsur Suni changed her narrative saying that he committed the crime at the behest of some big names in the movie industry.

The case became wide open when a letter emerged following Pulsar’s arrest. The content of the letter revealed that Pulsar called Director Nardisha instead of Dileep as he didn’t want to put him in jeopardy. IOn the letter Pulsar wrote in code language that if Dileep doesn’t want him to call Nardisha, he should send Rs 300 through a money order to his jail number. The letter also mentioned that Suni visited a shop in Kakkanad, believed to be boutique and online website owned by Dileep’s wife Kavya Madhavan.
Soon after the letter was found, Dileep lodged a complaint alleging that he is being blackmailed for Rs 1.5 crore by one Vishnu, who was a co-prisoner of Pulsar Suni. The complaint also said that Vishnu asked Nardisha for money for bringing Dileep’s name in the case.
In July, the reports came that Suni had called Dileep’s manager, Appunni, and Nardisha, three times from a landline number in Kakkanad District Jail.
Meanwhile, Dileep made objectionable remarks against her on TV, saying that the actress and Pulsar Suni were friends and now the actress should learn to choose friends carefully.
On June 28, Dileep and Nardisha were taken in by the police for a 13-hour long interrogation. In the interrogation, Dileep was asked about his links with Suni, which he repeatedly denied.
However, a picture of a selfie of a fan with Dileep surfaced which also had Pulsar in the background.
On July 10, Malayalam superstar Dileep was arrested in connection with Malayalam actress abduction and assault case. Dileep’s manager, Appuni, is still absconding.
