Bijoy has kicked Dev and Sonakshi from house because they were fighting inside the house at midnight in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. Sonakshi is walking across the deserted streets but Dev stops him and asks to return home. Sonakshi refuses saying that she has no mood to go home as she is very angry. Dev convinces her saying that it is not safe to walk on the streets of Delhi at this hour and they must return home. When Sonakshi refuses to agree he offers to go to a hotel and stay. Sonakshi says that her head is aching and she needs to have tea. Dev follows her like a puppy and Sonakshi calls him the same which irks Dev. He gets angry and decides to go back home.
Dev goes to his car and drives to Sonakshi and convinces to join him on tea. Sonakshi refuses to sit in the car and walks away. Two guys notice Dev driving alongside Sonakshi, who is walking on the street. They come to Dev and threaten to hand over to police for teasing a girl. Dev tries to explain them that she is his wife but they refuse to listen. Dev calls for his wife but she walks away. Dev holds the two men to hit them and Sonakshi hears them screaming for help. She rushes back to stop Dev from harming the strangers. She tells them that Dev is her husband and its just a casual fight between a married couple. Dev then asks Sonakshi to sit in the car so that other people don’t misunderstand them. He takes her to a coffee shop to have tea. Dev asks her why is she not forgiving him. He asks why she left the home and now is not ready to come back as well. Sonakshi says that she is in her home with her parents where people consider her a part of the family. She tells him that at Ishwari villa she has just started to stay after marriage its not her house as no one accepts as a family member. Since Sonakshi has no right to talk or give her opinion on family matter she feels like an outsider. She is a sad face that her parents never made her feel so lonely.
Dev apologises to her and says that he will make sure she is treated well. He asks Sonakshi is there is something else that she wants to say. Sonakshi says that she doesn’t like the color of his room its so dull. Also that there is no space for her to sleep in the bed as Dev takes maximum place. Dev realises that he has not thought about her ever. He always assumed that Sonakshi is happy with everything the way it is. On the other hand, Ishwari is still waiting for Dev to come home. She is upset that Dev didn’t inform her or chose to return home after Bijoy asked them to leave the house. Mamaji tries to explain her that Dev is not a young child and will look after himself. Besides, he was with Sonakshi who is mature. He asks Ishwari to sleep but Radha Rani tries to spice the matters saying that Sonakshi’s family don’t respect him despite being their son-in-law. Mamaji tries to stop Radha but she continues to spit poison for the Bose family. She then begins to fight with her husband which irks Ishwari and she decides to go to her room.
Dev and Sonakshi have fallen asleep outside the tea shop and two kids are amused to see them. They wonder if they are couple like their parents or not. They ask cute questions to them and Sonakshi asks them to go to school safely. Finally, Dev has managed to convince Sonakshi and the two decide to return home. Dev asks Sonakshi if her father will let them inside or not. Sonakshi gives a confused look at Dev as if she has no clue too.
