Dev and Sonakshi in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi has finally got married after facing a number of problems from their respective family’s side. The marriage was no less than a drama but somehow everything falls into place for the love birds. However, problems have still not ended for them, in fact they now have to face a new set of problems now. Sonakshi has to get along with Dev’s family and their traditions despite being a Bengali. She faces a number of challenges and all her attempts to win Ishwari’s heart goes for a toss. Now Sonakshi has agreed to keep the Navratri fast like every other members of the family. But she has a new challenge as the ritual demands her to stay away from her husband for 9 days.
Dev comes over to Soankshi and tells her that there is a vacancy in his company for a Sales Manager and he can hire Vicky for the same. Reluctantly, Sonakshi says that Vicky is very amature for the role and needs some experience. Se asks Dev to hire Vicky as an intern before handing him a huge responsibility. Dev is impressed with his wife’s suggestion and agrees to do as said. Radha Rani is happy that Ishwari has come under her control and soon her son will get a good job in Dev’s company. She decides to talk to Ishwari in an emotional way and put Sonakshi in negative light. Ishwari assures her that Dev will never refuse her just because of Sonakshi’s interference.
Dev is making all attempts to come close to Sonakshi and take advantage of their private space. She tries to excuse him and when Dev insists to find the reason. She reveals that she has kept a fast for Navratri and hence she cannot come close to him. Dev gets angry and shouts at his mother for forcing his new bride to keep the fast to. Ishwari feels disappointed with the way he reacts towards his mother. She emotionally blackmails him saying that she never forced anyone to keep any kind of fast. She puts all the blame on Sonakshi and says that is she cannot keep the fast then why she had to agree for it. He tells her that Sonakshi didn’t send her and his reaction was just out of rebound after hearing what Sonakshi revealed to him. He apologises to his mother but she tells him that he must have trusted her and not his wife. Sonakshi has overheard the whole conversation and is upset that Dev has ruined all her efforts. But Dev who is regretting his sudden reaction and gives Sonakshi an earful too. He slams her for trying to do unnecessary things to be a best Bahu for Ishwari. He asks what’s the need to do all the things she doesn’t believe in. Sonakshi tries to explain her stand but Dev refuses to believe her. Dev is upset that she agreed to keep the fast without asking her husband.
Sonakshi is working on her laptop and notices that Ishwari has come to her room. She apologises to Ishwari for Dev’s behaviour but Ishwari says that she understands the dilemma of a new bride. She asks Sonakshi to visit her home as she had to go through a lot after marriage. Sonakshi happily goes to meet her parents. At home, Sonakshi notices her mother and father fighting as usual. They are happy to see her at home and Asha makes her favourite food. Sonakshi reveals that she is fasting and it irritates Bijoy further. He asks is Ishwari forced her to keep the fast but Sonakshi reveals the it was her choice. To cheer up Sonakshi’s mood, Dev also comes to meet her. Asha welcomes them and decides to bring something for Dev. But Bijoy refuses saying that he must be fasting as well and will eat fruits like Sonakshi. Dev reveals that he is not fasting during Navratri to which Bijoy asks which just partiality. He questions if their culture only asks wife’s to starve during the festival season. Dev is clueless and doesn’t know what to say.
