The Dixit’s are celebrating Diwali in Ishwari Villa in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. Ishwari and Radha Rani are lighting diyas around the house as Riya and Nikki are fighting with Vicky over crackers. Sonakshi and Dev are enjoying Diwali in their own way as Radha Rani watches them from a distance. Ishwari was hoping to get Sonakshi’s help in lighting the diyas but she feels upset to see her with Dev. Radha Rani tries to spice the matter saying that Sonakshi has ignored him even during the festival. As they step out of the house, Dev & Sonakshi notice that everyone is enjoying the festival of lights. Ishwari looks at them with a sad face and asks Dev if she can light diyas with her daughter-in-law on her first Diwali.
Ishwari is making preparations for the Diwali donations that she does every year. Mamaji notices that his sister is happy about the festival and asks the reason why. Ishwari reveals that every year on this festival Dev comes with her to the temple and gives away these gifts to the poor. Next day, everyone happily greet each other for the festival at the dining area and Ishwari notices that Dev is missing. She asks Sonakshi about her son but Dev surprises everyone with gifts. He has shopped for every member of the family on the occasion of Diwali. Everyone happy to see the gifts Dev brought and thank him. But Dev reveals that it was Sonakshi’s idea to bring gifts for everyone.
Dev brings a doll for Neha and she is surprised to see it. Dev tells that it is the same doll which she wanted when she was young. Neha smiles at the doll and tells her brother that he had already brought her the doll from his first salary. Dev says that he knew she wanted a talking doll and this doll will speak too. Suddenly Neha feels happy that his brother has understood her needs without her having to say it. She thanks her brother for his concern, care and love. Sourabh has again failed in the interview as he couldn’t answer a single question in the interview. Bijoy is surprised to see how hopeless his son is but Asha and Elena laugh at his innocence. Everyone is celebrating Diwali in Ishwari Villa. They are lighting the crackers together, perform Laxmi Puja and have sweets too. Elena has brought gifts for Dev’s family and Sonakshi stops her to enjoy the festival. Vicky comes over to her and asks Elena if she loves him too. Elena says that she has no feelings for him. But Vicky knows that his plan is working the way he expected to. Vicky burns his hand while lighting the crackers and Elena shows concern towards him. Vicky is surprised to see Elena care for his wound and asks when will he confess his love for him. Elena gets a call from Saurab at the same time and she leaves to see Sonakshi. Sourabh has called Sonakshi to thank her for the gifts Dev sent home. Sonakshi asks Dev if he sent gifts for her family too. Dev with a broad smiles says that he needs to fullfil his duties as son-in-law too. Elena leaves for home and Dev offers to drop her home but she says that she will take a cab home.
