Dev and Sonakshi are finally married in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, although, the marriage was no less than a store house of drama. The Bose and Dixit family after a lot of disagreements come together for the sake of their kids. They know that Sonakshi and Dev love each other very much and cannot live without each other. Hence, despite their cultural differences, Dev and Sona’s parents agreed for the alliance. Ishwari, who was very much particular about having her son married to a Brahmin girl, changed her mind after seeing how hurt Dev was after being separated from his love. She came forward to convince Sonakshi’s family for the marriage too.
After a lot of drama, the two lovers get married in a grand Bengali style wedding. Dev, under the pretence of keeping Sonakshi’s parents happy, he agreed to have non veg cuisine in the wedding. Ishwari was upset with Dev’s decision but chose to stay silent too. Even at the wedding, Sonakshi instead of wearing the lehenga Ishwari made for her wore the traditional Bengali saree. Ishwari was upset as she was keenly expecting to see her daughter-in-law in that lovely lehenga. She didn’t have food at the wedding just because the same place had non-veg being served too.
Adding to the whole drama was the shagun Sonakshi brought along. Yes, by mistake the event manager sends a fish (which is a crucial part of Bengali wedding) to Dev’s house along with other items. This creates another drama in the house and Ishwari is upset with Sonakshi’s family for hurting her religious sentiments again. But Saurab and Elena apologise for the mistake and make it clear that it was not their fault. During the argument, Ishwari reveals that she was not happy with Dev approving the Bose family to have Non-vegetarian food in the wedding menu. Sonakshi maintains silence at that time but once she goes to Dev’s room, she starts to ponder him about the same. Dev have not informed her that Ishwari was against this arrangement which is why she and her family went ahead with the idea. The two begin to fight on their first night itself. Sonakshi begins to argue with Dev for keeping such a big secret from her. She makes it clear that Dev and his family didn’t had to compromise for her family. Somehow Dev manages to convince his lady love.
He feels happy to have Sonakshi as his wife now. The two start to recall the time when Dev first met Sonakshi and how love blossomed between them. Dev then said that after facing a lot of hardships they have finally come together. Soon their private moment gets disrupted by none other than Ishwari. Ishwari was cooking for Buaji since they didn’t have food at the wedding. But her sugar levels go for a toss and she collapses in the kitchen. Dev and Sonakshi rush for her help and take her to the hospital immediately. Sonakshi being a caring daughter-in-law stays back with Ishwari for the night. She takes care of her and makes sure she is fine, Buaji is happy to see Sonakshi’s concern and her image about Dev’s wife is changed. She says Ishwari that she is lucky to have daughter-in-law like her. The following day everyone is gearing up for Sonakshi’s muh-dikhai ritual.
