Dev and Sonakshi’s love story has finally met a happy end in Sony TV’s Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. After a lot of difficulty, the two have come together. However, their marriage was no less than a drama too. The Bose’s and Dixit’s despite being poles apart in every way decided to compromise with their family customs and traditions for the sake of their kids. But the marriage doesn’t end problems for Dev and Sonakshi. In fact, Sonakshi has a new challenge and that is to get along with her new family and their traditions. Being a Bengali by birth, she has been used to eating non-veg food all the time but her new family considers it as a taboo.
Moreover, they have a huge set of post marriage rituals which Sonakshi is not at all aware of. But she has to follow them without fail and ensure that she keeps her new family happy too. In the last episode, we saw that Sona has to face a lot of criticism during her Muh-Dikhai rasam. But Dev stands for her and save her dignity in front of everyone. Seeing her husband stand for her, Sona gets some confidence and gives it back to Bua dadi when she tries to humiliate her. Ishwari doesn’t mind her too and she is happy that Sonakshi is independent in her own way.
Sonakshi’s family, especially her father, misses her a lot. He feels shattered thinking about the unforeseen problems that can come in her married life. He knows that she can never be happy with Dev’s family but agreed for the alliance only because she loves Dev a lot. Saurab is planning to return the car Dev’s family gave him as a gift. He arrives at Dev’s house and doesn’t know how to approach them. Somehow he reveals that he cannot accept such an expensive gift. Vivek brings back the Shagun items which had come along with the fish since it has become impure for them. Bijoy is furiated at their audacity and screams at him. But Asha calms him down saying that he is just following the order and he is not at mistake. Dev is upset with Saurab’s request as he himself chose that lovely car for him. Sonakshi also agrees to Saurab’s demands as he is aware that her father will not like taking such an expensive gift.
Everyone in Dev’s family is upset and are trying to convince Saurab to take the car. But he is adamant and hence they give up. Radha Rani tries to take advantage of the situation and tells Ishwari that they are taking revenge by returning the gift only because they sent back the shagun. Sonakshi reveals Dev why Saurab returned the car. The Bose’s don’t want people to point fingers at each other saying that they are taking advantage of Dev’s prosperity. Ishwari notices him and tries to stop him from going to work. She notices something is not fine with her son she also knows that he will never tell her the truth. Ishwari asks Sonakshi to not visit Bua Dadi whenever she calls her just to avoid further problems. At Bose villa, they are worried after Saurab is informed that the cheque he gave to the decorators was bounced. As expected, Bua dadi calls for Sonakshi and she does as Ishwari told her. But Buaji’s daughter-in-law realises that Sonakshi is lying just like everyone else in the family. But Sona, just to avoid further problems, comes downstairs.
Buaji asks Sona to make the lunch for the day, which is also a part of their ritual. She gives Sona the list of items to be made and Sona has no idea about cooking at all. Sonakshi has landed herself in a huge mess by coming downstairs. Ishwari knows that Sona is not a good cook hence she decides to make the food herself. She attempts to protect Sonakshi from Buaji’s wrath once again. Sonakshi refuses to take her help but Ishwari says that she can never let Dev’s image be at stake because of Sona’s mistake.
