After a lot of drama, Dev and Sonakshi are now finally married in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. But the wedding has not ended problems for the couple in fact it has given rise to new set of problems in their life. Sonakshi belongs to a Bengali family and married to Dev, who is from a Brahmin family. The cultures and traditions of the two families are poles apart and now Sonakshi has the challenge to accept all of them. She not only has to get along with Dev’s family members but also follow their traditions too. However, Sonakshi always ends upsetting Buaji and Ishwari due to some or the other petty issues.
To avoid further trouble, Ishwari has asked Sonakshi to not come downstairs even if Buaji calls her. But Sonakshi unfollows her orders and comes over to meet Buaji. As expected, Buaji wants Sonakshi to follow yet another tradition of the family wherein she has to make food for the family. Ishwari is well aware that Sonakshi cannot cook hence wanted her to avoid this tradition at least in presence of Bua dadi. Since she has an habit of over exaggerating every mistake and taunting everyone, Ishwari wanted to avoid the whole episode all together. But Sonakshi’s one mistake has made things worse for her.
Ishwari decides to cheat and make food instead of Sonakshi just to avoid further controversies in the house. She doesn’t want anyone to point fingers at Sonakshi as that would mean insulting Dev’s choice. And Ishwari would never want her son to be at mistake. Hence, she decides to take all the pain and make food to impress Buaji. Everyones likes the food and appreciates Sonakshi. Buaji is also happy that Sonakshi can cook good vegetarian food as well. Out of concern, Buaji asks a query about one of the items served for lunch. Sonakshi is clueless and doesnt know what to say. Ishwari fears that her truth will be exposed and Buaji will scold her. Soankshi manages to answer the questions easily as she has noticed Ishwari while cooking. Ishwari is happy that Sona has passed the test without fail. Sonakshi is upset as she has never imagined to face all these problems post marriage. She tries to console herself and determines to come out victorious from this situation. Sonakshi wants to win everyone’s heart anyhow and will stay strong forever. She goes to Buaji to help her but Buaji has found out that Ishwari cooked for Sonakshi. Buaji sternly asks ishwari to not cover up for Sonakshi all the times.
Buaji puts forward another challenge for Sonakshi and asks her to get up and be ready at sharp 5 for Tulsi Puja. Sonakshi accepts her orders and agrees to be on time. Dev is back from office and apologises for behaving badly with him. They two have a romantic discussion and realise that their Suhagraat is yet to happen. He tries to get closer to his new bride but she pushes him away. They are about to kiss each other but Nikki disturbs them saying that Ishwari wants her to sleep with them just to avoid disturbing Dev in the morning.
