It is just a drop of a few episodes because I cannot ignore my health at this stage when my movie is also going to release and the coming schedule is going to be more hectic. I will come back with full force. I am thankful to the channel that they allowed me and did not put any pressure.”
On the other hand, the channel too refuted any bad blood between them and Kapil and said, “When a person shoots continuously for one and a half years, they do go through ups and downs. We are no one to comment on his personal life but for us, he has delivered a good show and has been spreading smiles among our audience for a long time. And that keeps us really happy.”
Makers Of Pehredaar Piya Ki To Be Back With The Same Cast But A New Story

Since, the show did not garner the kind of response that was expected of it after changing the time slot and also that the makers were annoyed with the kind of negative remarks the show had been receiving, Shashi and Sumeet Mittal, unanimously decided to pull the plug on Pehredaar Piya Ki without even informing the cast of the show. Now the latest buzz is that the makers will be coming up with a new story (with much safer content to be precise) but with the same cast. Speaking of which, Mittal informed a leading tabloid, “We are in the process of writing the show. We want a prime time slot and don’t want to get into another controversy this time.”
