In the 3 February episode of Kumkum Bhagya we see that Abhi is worried about Pragya and Purab. Just then he sees Rocky and asks him how he said bad words to Pragya. Rocky says she looks like a servant and he only gave his opinion. Abhi says she is her best friend and Rocky says he has forgotten he has taken him to great heights. He says Abhi should not behave like this for a middleclass girl. Abhi gets angry at him and tells him to get out of his house. He says he cannot see the beauty in a person as he himself has nothing beautiful about him. He says he no more respects Rocky as he does not respect people who cannot respect women. Abhi says Pragya is not rich but she is intelligent, she has a beautiful mind and values her family very much. Abhi asks Rocky to get out of the house and Rocky says he will taint Abhi’s reputation in the industry. Purab is happy and feels Abhi’s anger signifies his love for Pragya.
Tanu asks Abhi the reason for his sadness and he says it is because of what Rocky said to Pragya. Tanu says she also feels Rocky should not have said all this in Pragya’s face. She says they also know Pragya is so simple and she has no sense about how to look classy. Tanu says even her friends’ laugh at Pragya but she is more worried as to what Abhi’s friends will think about him if they see him with Pragya. She says Abhi looks nice with her and not Pragya. She says even she wanted to say all that Rocky said. Abhi says he thought at least Tanu would not think like Rocky but even she does not know what it is to be simple and well behaved. He says even he is very simple and he is sad they could neither understand Pragya nor him.
Pragya tells her mother and dadi about her time spent with Abhi. Just then Abhi comes and Sarla goes to get halwa for him. Pragya is surprised to see Abhi and Abhi tells him that he had some work with her. He says he wants to take Pragya out with him just now for a date. He says he is worried and asks Pragya to come with him.
Alia asks Tanu if her plan is working. Tanu says all their plans work in favour of Pragya only. She tells Alia that now it seems like Abhi does not like Rocky. Pragya wonders why Abhi is so worried. Abhi feels how to tell Pragya that she is perfect in his eyes but for Purab she will have to change herself a little. Pragya covers Abhi’s face with her dupatta so that no one recognizes him. In her excitement Pragya takes the name of Bulbul. Abhi asks him about her and she tells him Bulbul was her sister and she is no more. Abhi asks how she passed away and Pragya remembers how Bulbul died by being crushed under a chandelier while saving her. Pragya says Bulbul died in an accident. Abhi and Pragya enjoy each other’s company. Abhi feels Pragya is so beautiful and innocent and yet people cannot see her true beauty. They enjoy ice popsicles and when Pragya drops her ice-popsicle, Abhi gives her his share.
