The Tusshar Kapoor, Mandana Karimi and Aftab Shivdasani starrer ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum 3’ hit the silver screens on January 22. Claiming it to be the first porn-com film to entertain the Bollywood movie fanatics, it terribly failed at the box office. This was the debut film for the Iranian beauty and Bigg Boss season 9 contestant Mandana Karimi. Sadly, it became a flop porn-com for her career break in Bollywood. ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum 3’ has managed to garner only Rs. 23.15 crore in India.
The Umesh Ghadge directorial film did not managed to win audiences’ attention with its clichéd double meaning dialogues. Also spoofing various Bollywood films and even the celebrities did not work that well with the audiences. And the hence such low results are seen at the box office. The box office report has been revealed by the trade analyst Taran Adarsh on the micro-blogging site Twitter. On the day one (January 22, Friday) of the film’s release, ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum 3’ collected only Rs. 8.15 crore. During the weekends it was expected that the footfalls might increase at single screens and multiplexes but guess that just did not happen and so such poor results. On January 23, Saturday the movie collected Rs. 5.50 crore and on January 24, Sunday it collected Rs. 6.50 crore. With such weak results at the box office during the weekends, it is difficult for the makers of the film to expect some outstanding figures at the box office during weekdays. Also, the Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor produced movie might face a tough time as Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Airlift’ was also released on January 22. The true based event story directed by Raja Menon is leading with a staggering figure at the box office. On day one the movie garnered Rs. 12.35 crore and until now it has speedily collected a total of Rs. 72.50 crore in five days. On January 26, Tuesday the movie collected Rs. 17.80 crore. If ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum 3’ catches pace this week it would be better as another adult comedy movie starring Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das will be releasing this week that is on January 29. The movie fanatics are surely going to rush to the theatres to watch the hottie in ‘Mastizaade’. So let’s wait and watch if ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum 3’ manages to collect some good figures at the box office.
