Hyderabad based Designer Sailesh Singhania presented an inspiring collection – Actuality of Consonance: Khadi at Lakme Fashion Week on Sustainable and Indian Textiles Day. South Fame Regina Cassandra flaunted the showstopper outfit for Sailesh Singhania. We saw Bollywood personalities like Urvashi Rautela, Nora Fatehi & Neha Shetty supporting the designer applauding from the front seats. Regina Cassandra will be seen in Bollywood movie Aankhen 2 with Amitabh Bachchan & Arshad Warsi.
This collection of ethereal khadi saris by Sailesh Singhania intends to revisit this ethos that has got buried in the corrupt sands of highly consumeristic modern existence. Each sari is created with handspun khadi thread and is woven with real gold zariand takes inspiration from nature around us – the adored cows of Krishna from the Pichhvai paintings, the playful squirrels from the forest, the water cranes standing in a gently flowing river and the eternal tree of life that nurtures and sustains all.
Sailesh Singhania assays at recreation of the very pure essence of the inclusive way of living that khadi has inculcated inus from the time of Gautam Buddha and even before. For the Summer Resort 2017 collection for Lakme Fashion Week, Sailesh proposes his endeavor – khadi saris in their luxuriously brilliant immaculacy.
