Recently, Lara Dutta opened up on how she tackles hate comments and trolling online. Scroll down to read more.
Former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta has always enthralled her audience with her performances in various films. The actor has consistently been upfront when it comes to tackling trolls and negative comments. In a recent interview, Lara opened up about how she handles hate comments on social media and the trolling that celebrities often encounter. The partner actor said that she has been immune to trolls even though she does not have a major following on social media.
During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Lara was asked to share her opinion on how to deal with online trolling. To this, the actor responded by saying, “See, on a personal level, I think for me, I don’t have a massive social media presence. I am there, but I am there as much as I want to be. If I am going to be hungry for followers, comments, and things like that, then I also have to be ready to accept everything that comes along with it.”
The actor further added, “So, my social media feed consists of things that are special to me and that I do want to share with people who genuinely follow me. So, I don’t have a massive following, but the ones that are there are authentically genuine people who want to be there. And if there are those kinds of people, they are not there to pull you down.”
As the conversation progressed, the actor also revealed that she feels blessed that she doesn’t have to deal with a lot of nasty or hateful comments. The actor said, “I mean, of course, people will have… it’s their right to have an opinion, you know, and they will say something to you. A lot of people say ‘arrey buddhi ho gayi’ (She has become old), ‘arrey moti ho gayi’ (She has become fat). Is it going to make a difference in my life? It doesn’t. I also know that there are anonymous people behind handles. I don’t know what someone like that is going through in their life. So, I can’t be judgmental about someone else either. It’s fine.”
Currently, Lara is busy promoting her web series by the name “Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond.” The actor will be next seen in “Welcome to Jungle” and Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayana” alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
