Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who wrapped the first (Mumbai) schedule of the highly anticipated film Race 3, a couple of days ago, will soon begin work on his next – Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai director Ali Abbas Zafar‘s Bharat. The film is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film, “Ode to My Father”, which narrates modern Korean history from the 1950s to the modern day through the life of an ordinary man and events such as the Hungnam Evacuation during the 1950 Korean War. The film will also depict the government’s decision to dispatch nurses and miners to West Germany in the ’60s and the Vietnam War.Also Read - Jacqueline Fernandez Appears Before ED In Rs 200 Crore Money Laundering Case

In the film, Salman will have not one but 5 transformations. The 52-year-old actor will be sporting five different looks with the help of prosthetics and VFX, since the film spans over 70 years from the 1940s. In a statement to DNA, a source revealed, “Salman will sport five different looks in Bharat, which begins with him witnessing one of the most dramatic chapters of our history — the Partition. Meanwhile, Ali told the website, “Since the story spans over a period of 70 years, there will be many historical references. It is essentially about a man who lives through several significant moments from India’s past to present. Salman’s film will be shot in Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi. Ali further revealed, “The partition sequences will be shot in Punjab, keeping in mind the minute details which have been researched over the last three months. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and bankrolled by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, Bharat is all set to go on floors in June, 2018, while in the coming month (February) they will start trying the look tests.
