Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul Wedding HIGHLIGHTS: Actor Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul have tied the knot today – on January 23, at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse. The pictures of the couple from their nuptials are out and we can’t stop looking at their wonderfuling beginings. Talking about the new bride and groom’s outfit, Athiya Shetty opted for a neutral-toned lehenga with a heavy polki embellished neckpiece and earrings. He kept her hair tied back in a high bun and opted for a neutral, nude shade palate for her makeup. KL Rahul complimented his bride in an off-white sherwani.
In the first photo, the overjoyed bride was seen looking towards KL Rahul as they sat down for the wedding rituals.
In the second and third photos, they were seen taking the ‘Pheras’. KL Rahul’s gesture in the fourth photo made everyone go ‘aww’! The cricketer could be seen holding his wife’s hand as Athiya blushed. The couple had a day wedding and their pheras were conducted at 4 pm. After that, the newly married couple came outside the venue to pose for the paparazzi.
Athiya and KL, who have been dating each other for a few years now, made their relationship official last year when the two appeared hand-in-hand at the launch of Ahaan Shetty’s debut film.
Athiya and KL’s Sangeet ceremony took place on Sunday evening. The couple and the guests also reportedly performed on Suniel Shetty‘s hit songs from the ’90s including ‘Sheher Ki Ladki’. Interestingly, this is the same place where the popular actor got married to Mana in the year 1991. The couple has decided to install a total no-phone policy at the wedding. Several cricketers, music artists, actors, and other people from the film industry are expected to arrive in Khandala and bless the couple.
