Actor Daniel Dae Kim, popular for his role in Hawaii Five-0 and Lost, has been tested positive for the coronavirus. In his Instagram post on Thursday, the actor revealed that he had contracted the infection and has been under home quarantine. While announcing the news on social media, the actor also highlighted the increasing number of racist attacks against Asians in various parts of the world owing to the growing infection. In a video posted on Instagram, Daniel said, “Please, please stop the prejudice and senseless violence against Asian people. Randomly beating elderly, sometimes homeless Asian Americans is cowardly, heartbreaking and it’s inexcusable.” Taking a dig at Trump, the actor mentioned how it’s unfair to target the Asians for the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. He said he contracted the virus in America, not in China. “Yes I’m Asian. And yes, I have coronavirus. But I did not get it from China, I got it in America. In New York City. Despite what certain politicial leaders want to call it, I don’t consider the place where it’s from as important as the people who are sick and dying.” Watch his entire video here: Also Read - Despite Backlash, Trump Defends The Usage of 'Chinese Virus' Calling It 'Very Accurate', Uses It Later Again
