There are very few chances that a film featuring actors like Amitabh Bachchan or Govinda would not woo the audience or become a box office hit. Similarly, the film we are talking about is one of those that, because of its great cast, turned out to be a blockbuster. The stardom of the actors helped the film succeed on the big screens. If you’re wondering which film we are referring to, it’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. Yes, people really loved Big B and Govinda’s camaraderie, and it played a significant role in helping the film generate good revenue at the box office.

Just yesterday (October 16), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan completed 26 years in Bollywood. Directed by David Dhawan, the film left everyone in splits. The shooting took place at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. Besides the lead actors, the movie also featured Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Ramya Krishnan, Satish Kaushik, and Sharat Saxena in key roles. Notably, Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda were seen in double roles. Made on a budget of Rs 12 crores, the film earned Rs 36 crores worldwide.

Fans Loved Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda’s Camaraderie

Fans were definitely in for a treat when they saw the big names Amitabh and Govinda together on screen. Both actors left no stone unturned in entertaining fans. Apart from the comedy scenes, the film also featured hit songs, including “Kisi Disco Mein Jayein” and “Tere Pyar Ka Ras Nahi Chakhna.”
