Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1-Cease Fire was released theatrically on December 22, 2023. Helmed by Prashanth Neel, this high-octane action film grossed nearly Rs 700 crore worldwide. Since its streaming debut in Hindi on Disney + Hotstar, this pan-India film is trending consistently No.1 on the platform. The film has achieved unprecedented success by trending continuously for an entire 366 days.

Marking Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (Hindi) one year release, Prabhas expressed his gratitude and excitement on social media, saying “Overwhelmed by the love for Salaar: Cease Fire on Jio Hotstar! Can’t wait to set foot in Khansaar soon.” The makers of the film also commemorated this extraordinary achievement and the overwhelming support from fans.

Bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha and Sriya Reddy. The technical work of the action drama was handled by Bhuvan Gowda, whereas Ujwal Kulkarni overlooked the editing department. The film features music scored by Ravi Basrur.

After the tremendous success of Salaar: Part 1, makers are all set to release the second installment of this blockbuster franchise. Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam is expected to hit the silver screens in 2026. The moviegoers can’t wait to see Prabhas in the next chapter of this action-packed saga.

Apart from Salaar Part 2, Prabhas also has Hanu Raghavapudi’s allegedly titled film Fauji. Besides this, he and Sandeep Reddy Vanga are collaborating for the film Spirit, with shooting set to begin in the Summer. Moreover, he also has a cameo appearance in Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa.
