In a shocking turn of events, Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, has died by suicide at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The news of Anil’s death was shared by the news agency ANI. The agency also reported that Malaika’s father jumped off the terrace, resulting in his death. Meanwhile, his body has been sent for a post-mortem. As the sad news surfaced online, let’s take a look back at one of the last posts shared by Malaika, where the actress and her entire family, including her father Anil, looked extremely happy.
On March 2, 2024, Malaika shared a picture of her whole family, which also featured her father Anil. In the post, the actress revealed that it was her mother’s birthday. All four members of the family, including Amrita, Malaika, Joyce Polycarp, and Anil Arora, looked extremely happy as they grinned from ear to ear. Sharing the picture, Malaika wrote, “Our mama, our amma, you’re simply the best. Happy birthday, mothership. Love you.” She also added red heart emojis to the post.

Meanwhile, Malaika’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, also arrived at the scene of the incident. Soon after the news went online, everyone close to Malaika started arriving at the residency. Currently, a police investigation is underway. Earlier reports indicated that Malaika’s father had been unwell for a long time. It is still uncertain whether foul play was involved. The body has been sent for a post-mortem, and further details are awaited.
Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora’s Childhood
While Malaika’s parents divorced when she was young, and she mostly stayed with her mother, Malaika has always remained respectful towards her father. In a 2022 interview, Malaika said, “I had a wonderful childhood, but it wasn’t easy. In fact, in retrospect, the word I would use to describe it is tumultuous. But tough times teach you important lessons too.”
Anil Arora is survived by his two daughters, Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora.
