Actor Dileep Sankar was reportedly found dead in a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram on the morning of Sunday, December 29.

Dileep Sankar Passes Away: Dileep Sankar, a Malayalam actor, was reportedly found dead in a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram on the morning of Sunday, December 29. The actor had been staying at the hotel for a few days while filming his current show, Panchagni. Reportedly, the hotel staff became concerned after noticing a foul odour coming from his room and discovered his body inside.

According to Asianet News, the actor had not left his room for the past two days, which made his co-actors concerned. Later, Dileep Sankar’s co-actors tried calling him but received no response. After they grew more concerned, they went to the hotel to check on him but were unable to reach him before his death.

The television actor had checked into the hotel four days earlier. After his dead body was found inside his room, police were notified and they soon arrived at the scene. Initial assessments indicated no signs of foul play. As confirmed by Cantonment ACP, a forensic team will carry out a more detailed investigation. The police sources said, “There are no signs of foul play at this stage. The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem.” A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Further updates are awaited.

The entertainment industry is shocked by the actor’s unexpected demise. Seema G. Nair wrote a heartfelt letter of condolence for the actor and wrote, “Condolences. You called me five days back, but I couldn’t talk to you well then. Now, a journalist called up and informed me. What happened to you Dileep. I am unable to write anything. Condolences.”

Dileep Sankar was renowned for his roles in hit television shows, including Chaappa Kurish (2011), North 24 Kaatham (2013) and Ammayariyathe (2020). He was last seen as Chandrasenan in Panchagni.
