Recently, Abhishek Bachchan took to his Twitter to share the news about returning to face the camera after two years. The actor, who was last seen in the multi-starrer ‘Happy New Year’ is gearing up for his next big screen outing ‘Manmarziyan‘. Abhishek has already started shooting for the film in Punjab with his co-actors Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Ever since they have commenced shooting in Punjab, the actors have been sharing the glimpses from the sets of Manmarziyan on social media. On Wednesday, the makers of Manmarziyan took to social media to share the first look and it has already gone viral.
The first look picture gives us an insight into Abhishek, Taapsee and Vicky’s characters. In the picture, we can see Abhishek Bachchan sporting a turban with a stern expression on his face, making us wonder what would his role be in the film. Meanwhile, Taapsee, who has donned traditional Patiala suits, is getting a piggyback ride from Vicky, who has sported a new hairstyle and a Jim Morrison T-shirt; Vicky and Taapsee have definitely nailed the ‘Punjabi kudi’ and ‘Punjabi munda’ looks.

Helmed by Anurag Kashyap and bankrolled by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions, Phantom Films and Eros Now, the film is an intense love story and stars Taapsee, Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. This will be the first time that Taapsee will be sharing screen space with Abhishek and Vicky.
The initial cast of the film included Vicky Donor’s Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles and the film was being helmed by Sameer Arya. But later on, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was to helm the film. Post-Ashwiny’s exit, Manmarziyan will now be an Anurag Kashyap directorial. Watch this space for further updates.
