Mastizaade Box Office collection: Despite pathetic reviews, Sunny Leone starrer mints Rs 18.20 crore

Sunny Leone starrer Mastizaade hit the silver screens last Friday and despite of pathetic reviews, the film has still managed to garner Rs. 18.20 crore at the Box Office.

Sunny Leone starrer Mastizaade hit the silver screens last Friday and despite of pathetic reviews, the film has still managed to garner Rs. 18.20 crore at the Box Office. The film, which released on Januay 29, also stars Vir Das and Tusshar Kapor in lead roles. A Milap Zaveri directorial, Mastizaade was released in 1800+ screens and managed to collect Rs. 5.59 crore on day one. The collections increased over the weekend (Saturday- Rs.11 crore; Sunday- Rs. 6.50 crore).

Apparently, the film has been made on similar lines of Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 which released a week before Mastizaade. The adult comedy is strictly meant only for those who are fans of cliched double-meaning jokes and too much cleavage-show. “Mastizaade isn’t even a movie. For almost the entirety of its run time, it feels like getting screamed at by a pissed off plastic clown. It’s as pointless as a punctured condom. It’s as ghastly as a bad boob job. It’s like entering a lunatic pervert’s Internet search history tab and discovering only cake recipes. Let me repeat: Mastizaade isn’t a movie. It’s a bunch of sweaty sleazeballs exploiting Sunny Leone’s star power and straight up robbing your cash. Don’t let them,” Anupama Chopra warned viewers in her Mastizaade movie review.

Along with Mastizaade released Saala Khadoos which has fared poorly at the domestic Box Office.
