In Tollywood, there are multiple star kids whose fathers have been superstars. There are few outsiders, who have been able to break out in Telugu cinema and one of them is Vijay Deverkonda. He entered the film industry with the movie Nivvila (2011). Once in an interview, Vijay revealed that he faced several difficulties in the beginning of his career. Many times he didn’t even have money to pay the rent, but he did not give up and continued working hard until he achieved superstardom.
With films like Arjun Reddy, Pelli Choopulu, Mahanati, Geetha Govindam, he became one of the prominent star in the Telugu industry. At the same time, Vijay delivered around 10 flops in his career, including Dwaraka, NOTA, Dear Comrade, World Famous Lover, Kushi, The Family Star. But, it still never affected his stardom and he continued being one of the biggest stars in Tollywood.

In 2022, Vijay decided to step his foot in Bollywood with the film Liger opposite Ananya Panday. Produced by Karan Johar, the film tanked at the box office. Made in Rs 90 crore, it went on to earn only Rs 60.8 crore.
Despite hits and flops, Vijay is still considered as one of the biggest stars in Tollywood. His net worth is estimated to be around USD 8 million (approximately INR 66 crore). The majority of his income comes from his film projects and brand endorsements.
The Telugu actor’s residence is situated in the prestigious neighborhood of Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The lavish property is estimated to be around Rs 15 crore. In addition to his luxurious house, the actor has also acquired a private jet and is frequently seen travelling with his family on chartered flights.
