An actor’s career can drastically change with just one hit or flop. Today, we’re talking about an actress who worked alongside some of the biggest superstars in the South, but despite her efforts, the films she starred in become massive flops. However, one song in a film transformed her career, turning her into a pan-India sensation. She is none other than Kissik girl Sreeleela.
Sreeleela was born in Michigan, USA, on June 14, 2001. Her mother Swarnalatha, is a gynaecologist based in Bangalore. Initially, Sreeleela aspired to become a doctor and was in her final year of MBBS in 2021. However, her path took a different turn, leading her into a world of cinema.
Her journey into the entertainment industry began as a child artist in 2017 with Chitrangada, long before her leading debut in the 2019 Kannada film Kiss. Since then, she worked in several films and starred opposite biggest superstars in South. While, initially films like Dhamaka, Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari weren’t a great successes, but still it didn’t affect her zest.
While she continued to gain popularity in Kannada cinema, it was in Telugu industry where she truly made her mark, in superhits like Pelli SandaD and Dhamaka. These successes truly transformed her career and she quickly became favourite among directors and audiences.
While apart from acting, it’s truly her dance numbers that sets her apart. From Kurchi Madathapetti in Guntur Kaaram to Madhura Nagarilo in Pelli SandaD, Sreeleela’s sizzling songs have been huge hits. Well, her last song Kissik in Puspha 2: The Rule, has also been widely appreciated. Her sizzling dance moves and fiery chemistry with Allu Arjun made her an overnight sensation in India.
Talking about her personal life, Sreeleela isn’t married, but in 2022, she adopted two disable kids. This gesture indeed turned the actress into an inspirational figure for moviegoers, earning her praise from the film fraternity.
