Bollywood has long been stamped with the label of nepotism. Star kids and their films are often boycotted here. After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood has repeatedly come under scrutiny, with people believing that insiders in the film industry are responsible for ruining the careers of outsiders. Every year, new faces enter Bollywood, but after failing with their films, many end up changing their career paths. There have also been stars who disappeared from the industry after delivering a hit. One such name is actress Priya Gill, who was a part of the 90s film industry and was crowned Femina Miss India International in 1995.

Priya’s Film Career

Priya Gill is best known for her role in the romantic film Sirf Tum starring Sanjay Kapoor. The songs from the film are still popular today. Priya comes from a military family and was once the most searched actress on Google. She made a remarkable debut in 1996 with Tere Mere Sapne, and later appeared alongside Aishwarya Rai in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Josh (2000), playing the lead role. Priya had already made a mark with Sirf Tum (1999), which earned her a place in the hearts of many. After this, she starred with actor Sunil Shetty in Bade Dilwala (1999). That same year, Priya made her debut in Malayalam cinema with Mehdham (1999) alongside superstar Mammootty.

Priya Gill’s Career Decline

After struggling to find roles in Hindi films, Priya moved to Tollywood in 2000, where she appeared in Bagunara and Ryalaseem Ramanna Chowdary, starring Mohan Babu. In 2001, she appeared in the Hindi film Jeetenge Hum, which went largely unnoticed. She also debuted in Kollywood in 2000 with the Tamil film Red, starring Ajith Kumar. The actress, originally from Punjab, also worked in Punjabi cinema with Ji Aaye Nu. In 2003, Priya worked in Hindi films LOC Kargil and Border Hindustan Ka. However, circumstances became so difficult that she ended up working in the Bhojpuri film Piya Tose Naina Laage. Priya was last seen in the Hindi film Bhairavi in 2006. Overall, her film career ended in just 10 years. It’s worth noting that Priya Gill is also not active on social media.
