In a recent podcast with ANI, Rani Mukerji revealed that she initially didn’t want to be a part of Karan Johar’s film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. She didn’t want to do the film because after the success of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the pairing of Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan was a hit. Praising Karan Johar’s direction, the actress says that the director is always clear about his vision and what he wants from an actor on screen.

The Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway actress says, “Karan was very clear in his storytelling. I found Karan to be an honest and clear-minded filmmaker because he was so passionate about the subject he narrated to me. The actress further says that despite Karan Johar’s excellent narration of the script, she was unsure about her role in the film.
