This actress has worked in the Hindi film industry for ten years. She made sure to draw attention with her act even though she shared the screen with Amitabh Bachchan. She regrettably has been jobless for the last three years and is tired of being called a ‘good actor.’ She last appeared in the India Lockdown of Madhur Bhandarkar. This actress has appeared in movies including Salaam Venky, The Accidental Prime Minister, and Lipstick Under My Burkha.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, she disclosed that she has not received any part offers for the past three years and has switched her concentration from acting to production to pay the bills. “I am not being offered shows anymore. I haven’t received an offer in more than three years. Nobody is offering me anything. I used to do so much work on OTT but haven’t done any for so many years, and I am completely fine with it, ” Aahana Kumra said.
Aahana Kumra also mentioned how, oddly, her career has suffered more than it has benefited from the reputation of being a ‘good actor.’
She expressed her dissatisfaction with the lack of chances for performers similar to her, citing the preference of most directors to hire only A-list actors. She went on to say that the producers wanted to work with a celebrity or someone who would price less. Aahana has to manage her kitchen like everyone else, therefore she is looking at other movie formats.
Aahana also spoke about her production house in the same conversation and said, “I will be happy to make announcements as soon as we have something. We did a Puja for the production house a few days ago. I will be producing both OTT and theatrical projects. My concentration is there only, I am doing that from morning to evening.”
