The actor belonged to a business family but always wanted to make a name for himself in the film world. He had to spend the night on the railway platform to reach where he is today. He has impressed audiences with his sincere and honest performances in Secret Superstar, Raees, Article 370, and Thalaivii among others. While many may assume that he had it easy but struggled a lot to make a mark for himself in the industry.
During his hard times in Mumbai, he resided in PG. He returned late from actor Kumud Mishra’s house when his PG didn’t allow him in. Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, he stated that he was compelled to sleep on the train platform since there was no other place to stay. The celebrity in question is none other than Raj Arjun. His father had been in the crockery industry in Bhopal, where he was born. His brother and he were to succeed in the same field, according to his family. He began performing in plays at Bharat Bhavan and went on to do drama every morning and evening for the following ten or twelve years.
Raj Arjun acknowledged that he is at last achieving his goal of becoming a well-known actor and shared how, at a time when he had given up hope, Farookh’s role in ‘Secret Superstar‘ came as a huge break. In an exclusive interview with India.com, he said that while people work for a variety of reasons, performers choose the jobs they want.
The 15-year-old girl Insia (Zaira Wasim) aspired to be a singer. She talked her mother Najma (Meher Vij) into letting her approach her father Farookh (Raj Arjun) for permission to enter a music competition in which the winner would receive a laptop and free internet for a year. The father is unkind and abusive to them, which is why Najma never has the chance to talk to him about their daughter’s singing. The mother gets Insia a laptop where she finds that many people are reaching their friends through YouTube. Najma advises her to wear a burka and upload her singing video to YouTube to conceal her identity from her father. When Insia does this and calls her channel Secret Superstar, she quickly gains popularity online and attracts the attention of music director Shakti Kumar, who is impolite but talented.
For the unversed, actor Sara Arjun is Raj Arjun’s daughter, who is one of the gifted kids who accomplished something amazing just at the age of 17. Speaking to India.com, Raj further revealed that he had no intention of his daughter becoming a star. He told us that once someone saw her with him in a mall, well, the rest is history.
